Interior Detailing

We extract dirt, pet hair, and debris from every interior surface using hot-water extractors and steam equipment. Upholstery, carpet, door panels, vents, and headliners are treated with surface-specific products. Leather is cleaned and conditioned to prevent cracking and fading.

Exterior detailing — hand-washed vehicle finish

Exterior Detail

Exterior Detailing

Every exterior detail starts with a two-bucket hand wash, followed by iron fallout removal and clay bar decontamination. We apply a protective sealant or coating to finish. We do not use automated tunnels or pressure washing on painted surfaces.

  • Two-bucket safe-touch hand wash
  • Iron + tar contamination removal
  • Wheels, tires, and wheel-well detail
  • Glass cleaning + streak-free finish
  • Trim & tire dressing applied
  • Optional headlight & engine bay add-ons

*Pricing varies by vehicle size and condition.

Ceramic coating on a sports car

Specialty Service

Ceramic Coating

We apply professional-grade SiO2 ceramic coating directly to your clear coat, creating a semi-permanent hydrophobic layer that repels water, UV radiation, and surface contaminants. Protection packages are available in 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year tiers.

Up to 5 yrs

  • UV protection — prevents oxidation & fading
  • Chemical resistance to bird droppings, tree sap
  • Enhances gloss and depth of paint color
  • Easier washing — contaminants don't bond

*Pricing varies by vehicle size, paint condition, and warranty tier.

Paint correction on a sports car

Specialty Service

Paint Correction

Paint correction uses machine polishing to remove swirl marks, scratches, water spots, and oxidation from your clear coat without adding wax or filler. Single-stage and multi-stage correction is available based on paint condition.

70-90%+

Defect Removal

Multi-stage

Machine Polishing

  • Single-stage polish — removes 70-80% of defects
  • Multi-stage correction — removes 90%+ of defects
  • Swirl mark and buffer trail removal
  • Deep scratch assessment and treatment

  • Often paired with ceramic coating for best results

*Pricing varies by vehicle size, paint condition, and number of correction stages.

Waxing and sealant application on an SUV

Paint Protection

Waxing and Paint Sealants

We apply carnauba wax or synthetic polymer sealant by machine for a durable gloss finish and short-term paint protection. Wax and sealants are the right maintenance choice between ceramic coating applications.

  • Carnauba wax for warm, deep gloss
  • Synthetic polymer sealant for longer-life protection
  • Strong water beading and sheeting
  • UV resistance — slows oxidation and fade
  • Trim and plastic protectant application
  • Tire shine + glass sealant included

*Pricing varies by vehicle size and chosen product.

Cut and buffing on a luxury sedan

Paint Refinement

Cut and Buffing

Cut and buff uses compounding and machine polishing to remove heavier surface defects, dull clear coat, and significant oxidation. This is the right service when paint has degraded beyond what a standard polish can correct.

  • Compound + polish cut-and-buff process
  • Removes light-to-moderate oxidation
  • Reduces visible swirls and wash marring
  • Restores gloss and clarity to dull paint
  • Safe finishing pass to seal results
  • Excellent prep before sealant or ceramic

*Pricing varies by vehicle size and paint condition.

Clay bar and polish on a luxury vehicle

Paint Prep

Clay Bar and Machine Polishing

Clay bar treatment removes bonded surface contaminants that washing alone cannot lift. Combined with machine polishing, this service leaves paint smooth, clean, and ready for any protective coating or wax application.

  • Full clay-bar decontamination pass
  • Removes industrial fallout and overspray
  • Finishing polish for silky-smooth feel
  • Restores reflective clarity
  • Perfect prep for protection layers
  • Glass and trim treated to match

*Pricing varies by vehicle size and contamination level.

Common Issues

Common Problems We Fix on Every Vehicle We Touch

We tackle the issues vehicle owners deal with every day, from stubborn pet hair and interior stains to faded paint and swirl marks. Our team uses professional tools and proven detailing methods to restore cleanliness, improve appearance, and help every vehicle look its best.

Pet hair embedded in seats and carpet

Hot-water extraction and dedicated pet hair tools pull embedded fibers out of fabric, carpet, and floor mats. A standard vacuum leaves most of it behind.

Swirl marks and dull paint

Machine polishing with cutting compound removes swirl marks from the clear coat surface without adding filler or masking. The paint comes back clear and properly reflective.

Stained upholstery and carpet

We pre-treat stains with enzyme cleaner, then extract with a hot-water extractor at high temperature. Most food, drink, and biological stains come out completely in a single session.

Smoke odor that will not leave

We treat smoke odor with ozone treatment combined with steam and enzymatic product applied to every interior surface. A spray air freshener does not eliminate smoke. It covers it.

Water spots and hard water deposits

Iron fallout remover and clay bar lift bonded mineral deposits from paint and glass that a car wash leaves untouched. We follow up with a protective sealant or ceramic coating to slow recontamination.

Oxidation on gel coat or RV siding

Compound and machine polishing removes surface oxidation from fiberglass, gel coat, and painted aluminum. Heavy oxidation that has gone untreated for years can usually be corrected in a single session.

Mildew and musty odor in boat cabins or RV interiors

We treat mildew with antimicrobial solution, then steam clean all surfaces and extract residual moisture. Odor from untreated mildew comes back quickly without this step.

Faded or yellowed headlights

Headlight restoration removes oxidation from polycarbonate lenses using wet sanding and machine polish, then seals the surface to slow re-yellowing. Replacement housings are rarely necessary when the shell is intact.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Mobile Detailing

How much does mobile detailing cost?

Mobile detailing prices vary by vehicle type, service level, and vehicle condition. Car detailing starts at $169 for a basic interior or exterior service and reaches $1,199 for a multi-stage paint correction with ceramic coating. Boats and RVs are quoted by the foot since vehicle length determines time and product volume. Request a quote with your vehicle type, size, and location and we will send you exact pricing before booking anything.

Do mobile detailers bring their own water and power?

Yes. Every MDE van carries a freshwater tank and a portable generator. We do not need access to your hose, your electrical outlet, or any utility connection at your property. We can work in a parking garage, a marina, a storage lot, or anywhere else your vehicle is parked.

How long does a mobile detail take?

It depends on the service and the size of the vehicle. A basic interior or exterior detail on a standard car takes one and a half to two and a half hours. A full detail with paint correction runs four to six hours. RV and boat details typically take three to eight hours depending on length and condition. We give you an estimated time window when you book.

What types of vehicles do you service?

We service cars, sedans, SUVs, trucks, minivans, and luxury vehicles. We also detail boats of all kinds including pontoons, bowriders, center consoles, sailboats, and personal watercraft. For recreational vehicles, we cover Class A, B, and C motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and toy haulers. For powersports, we service motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and dirt bikes.

Can you detail my vehicle at an apartment complex or office parking lot?

Yes. We work at any location where your vehicle is parked, including apartment complexes, office parking lots, parking garages, commercial driveways, and storage facilities. The only requirement is enough space for our van to park alongside your vehicle and access both sides.

What is the difference between a car wash and a professional detail?

A car wash uses automated brushes or a rinse-only tunnel that removes loose surface dirt but does not decontaminate, correct, or protect the paint. A professional detail uses hand washing, clay bar decontamination, machine polishing, and a protective coating or sealant to restore and preserve the vehicle. A car wash takes five minutes. A proper full detail takes two to seven hours depending on what the vehicle actually needs.

Is mobile detailing worth it compared to a drop-off shop?

For most vehicle owners, yes. Mobile detailing costs about the same as a premium shop detail and removes the drop-off and pickup entirely. A dedicated technician handles your vehicle from start to finish rather than passing it through a production line. For large vehicles like boats and RVs, mobile service is often the only practical option since most detail shops cannot accommodate them.

How often should I get my vehicle detailed?

For most cars, a full detail once or twice a year combined with a maintenance wash every four to six weeks keeps paint protected and the interior clean. Boats benefit from a detail at spring launch, a maintenance wash mid-season, and a prep detail before fall storage. Ceramic-coated vehicles require less frequent correction work but still benefit from a professional maintenance wash every six to eight weeks to keep the coating performing properly.

What is ceramic coating and how long does it last?

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds chemically to your clear coat and cures into a hard, hydrophobic protective layer. It repels water, UV radiation, and surface contaminants more effectively than wax or paint sealant. A properly applied ceramic coating on a car or boat lasts one to five years depending on the product tier, sun exposure, and how the vehicle is maintained afterward. Ceramic coating does not prevent rock chips or deep scratches. Paint protection film handles physical impact protection.

Do you offer same-day or next-day bookings?

Availability depends on your city and the service you need. In most markets we serve, same-day booking is available for standard services when requested at least a few hours in advance. Next-day availability is open in most areas. Check current availability online or call us and we will tell you exactly what is open in your area.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Payment is collected after your technician completes the final walkthrough with you, not before the service begins. We do not require a deposit for most standard bookings.

How far in advance should I book?

For standard car details, one to three days in advance is typically enough. For boats, RVs, or any service that requires paint correction before a ceramic coating, booking five to ten business days ahead gives us the best chance to schedule a dedicated technician and the full time block your vehicle requires.
